During 2010 in controlled trials the Co-operative Group were able to prove and validate both fuel savings and spray reduction as part of normal fleet operations.
Positive results were seen in both 18T and 26T classes as a result of installing Spraydown mud flaps in place of standard spray suppression. As a result, the Co-operative Group embarked on a retrofit program. Spraydown has also become the Co-operative Groups’ specified Spray Suppression for all new vehicle purchases.
“We have seen how a small change to Spraydown mud flaps can make a significant impact towards improving safety and reducing operational costs.”
